Our name "Muffira" combines our love for fresh-baked muffins with the warmth of a cozy fire - representing the comfort and community spirit we strive to create every day. We source our coffee beans from sustainable farms and work with local suppliers to ensure every cup and every bite reflects our commitment to quality and community.

Meet Our Team

Emma Richardson
Owner & Head Barista
Emma's passion for coffee began during her travels through Europe, where she fell in love with cafe culture. With a background in hospitality and a keen eye for detail, she founded Muffira to bring authentic cafe experiences to Winnipeg. When she's not perfecting latte art, Emma enjoys hiking and exploring local farmers markets.

Marcus Chen
Head Baker & Pastry Chef
With over 8 years of experience in artisan baking, Marcus brings creativity and precision to every pastry that comes out of our kitchen. He trained in French pastry techniques and specializes in creating unique seasonal offerings. Marcus starts his day at 4 AM to ensure our display case is filled with fresh, warm pastries when we open.

Sofia Martinez
Operations Manager
Sofia ensures everything runs smoothly at Muffira, from inventory management to staff scheduling. Her warm personality and organizational skills make her the heart of our daily operations. She speaks three languages fluently and loves helping customers feel at home in our cafe. Sofia also manages our social media presence and community events.

Jake Thompson
Barista & Customer Experience Lead
Jake is our coffee enthusiast who knows every regular customer's favorite drink by heart. He's completed advanced barista training and loves experimenting with new brewing methods. Jake also leads our community outreach programs and organizes monthly coffee cupping sessions for customers who want to learn more about coffee.
